PCLS is a project of FGRC to create a platform for engagement between Law and Civil Society. At the Centre, lawyers, jurists, specialists, students, members of the civil service come together to research, reform, debate and develop law in Pakistan.
The mission of PCLS is to articulate a better, indigenous understanding of law and legal and cultural norms in Pakistan leading to a pluralistic society with collective civic sense.
Three initial high-impact areas have been targeted:
(1) Water crisis in Pakistan;
(2) Alternative Dispute Resolution;
(3) Preservation of Cultural Heritage; and
(4) Refugees
